About the Artist

KillerPumpkins creator/author and illustrator, John Pelico, graduated from Pepperdine University located in Malibu with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art. He continued his formal training in illustration and design at the Art Center School of Design in Pasadena. Later he went on to work in the television industry for ABC and CBS studios before branching out on his own and starting his own company, PELICO and Associates.

Specializing in advertising, marketing, design and illustration for over 45 years, John has worked with a variety of corporate and entertainment icons such as HBO, Dick Clark Productions and the Academy Awards.

But it’s John’s love for Halloween that truly inspires him. Being the Halloween enthusiast that he is has sparked his creativity and taken his talent to another level. He has created a signature look that is known throughout the industry. It’s no wonder why he is known by some as the “Disney of Halloween.”

As the spooky-brilliance of this artwork continues to open numerous opportunities, it’s no doubt that his unique style will change the face of Halloween for future generations of Halloween fans, young and old alike.
